  • Hi Riley! What are you studying?

    Medicine

  • Why did you choose to study in Australia?

I wanted a change to the normal student college life and knew I needed to take the opportunity to expand my cultural knowledge for a once in a life time experience. We are all only young once… why not follow our dreams?

  • Why did you choose to study in Sydney?

Sydney was the only program that was offered from my home university for my major.

  • Why did you choose to live at Iglu?

I love how close everything is and so I really feel connected with the city during my study abroad experience.

  • What is your favourite thing to do when you are not studying?

I love going to the gym and exploring new places. There is so much to the world and every person you meet has their own unique story. I love to learn from other people and try new things.

  • What is your favourite thing about Iglu?

I haven’t moved in yet (2 days!) but I love the activities that are offered and the breakfasts in the morning as well.

  • Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years, I will be in medical school studying to become an MD.

  • What words of wisdom would you pass on to future Iglu residents?

If the thing you’re thinking about even remotely interests you, just try it. If you don’t like it you can cross it off your list and go on to the next. It’s better to be able to say you didn’t like something than to have regrets. We are the youngest we will ever be now and we have little to no major obligations in life currently. Be safe but take some risks because personal growth happens outside the net of comfort.
