If you’re an international student planning to study in Australia, we’re here to help you find the coolest place to live while you do.
If you are due to start your contract within 14 days and you are still waiting for your visa application to be processed or university offer to be confirmed, we have the following options available:
- You can commence paying your lease while you await your visa / university offer and we will hold your room for you.
- You can request a one-time only deferral of your contract start date up until Semester 1, 2025 and your rate will remain the same. If you choose a deferral, and then choose to cancel, our ‘No Visa, No Offer, No Pay’ option will not be available and you will be required to pay the 4-week termination payment for a cancelled contract.
- You can choose to cancel and pay a 4-week termination payment.

If you’re under 18 and looking for a place to call home while you study, Iglu can help.
We’re currently able to accept under 18 international students (U18) from:
- QUT at Iglu Kelvin Grove
- University of Sydney and Taylors College at Iglu Redfern,
- UNSW and UNSW Global at Iglu Redfern
- Monash College at Iglu Melbourne City
- Monash University (Caulfield or Parkville) at Iglu Melbourne City
- Trinity College Foundation at Iglu Melbourne City.
