• Hi Neisha! What are you studying?

  Bachelor of Education (Primary)

• Why did you choose to study in Brisbane?

  I chose to study in Brisbane because I wanted to experience the city life, without being too far away from my home town. I love that Brisbane still has a coziness about it, so it feels familiar.

• Why did you choose to live at Iglu?

  I was looking into student accommodation and Iglu looked super hip and cool, and I had friends from high school stay here and they absolutely loved the Iglu life.

• What is your favourite thing about being a student?

  I am an absolute shopaholic so the student discounts are a major plus. Otherwise getting to know so many people with such diverse backgrounds!

• What is your favourite thing to do when you are not studying?

  I love to hang out with my friends. We are pretty much inseparable, inside and out of Iglu.

• So you’re a Resident Leader. What’s your favourite thing about being an RL?

  I love being able to interact with so many different people, and having such good workmates makes this a dream job. Brainstorming events then making them a reality for our residents is also super fun.

• What is your favourite thing about Iglu?

  I love the people. The office staff have helped make Brisbane feel like home, and I have made friends here that will be with me for the rest of my life.

• Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

  If all goes to plan, I’ll be teaching young children in 5 years, which is terrifying but also super exciting!

• What words of wisdom would you pass on to future Iglu residents?

  Don’t stay holed up in your room! As comfy as it can be, I made some of my closest friends by hanging out in common areas, and going to events!
