• Hi Briella! What are you studying?

  A Bachelor of Music Theatre

• Why did you choose to live in Sydney?

  After living in a small town for all of my life i realized that there wasn’t a lot of opportunity for me to gain experience in my preferred industry. Living in Sydney has opened the door to so many opportunities that i have never had before!

• Why did you choose to live at Iglu?

  I chose to live at Iglu because of the convenience of the location. Iglu Mascot is only a 2 minute walk from the train station and then a 20 minute train ride to Circular Quay ( which is where my uni is!!). Its quick and stress free! As well as this it is only a 5 minute train ride to the airport so its easy for when i am flying home to see my family!

• What is your favourite thing about being a student?

  My favorite thing about being a student is probably being able to meet a lot of different people who are going through the same thing as me – moving away from home for the first time and beginning university! having this in common is such a good why to bond and make friends quickly!

• How did the Iglu Regional Scholarship help you?

  The regional Scholarship helped me so much! It has allowed me to have a stress free move and feel comfortable in my finances while making such a big mover across the country.

• What is your favourite thing about being a Resident Leader (RL)?

  My favorite thing about being a resident leader at iglu is that i get to meet so many new people and learn so much about different countries and cultures! I have met so many new people while being and RL and lots of them are becoming some of my closest friends

• Describe your favourite thing about Iglu?

  My favorite thing about Iglu is the amazing community. The energy from the staff at breakfast and at events creates such a welcoming and home-like energy that i look forward to!

• Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

  Hopefully in five years i will be on the stage performing or writing and directing my own plays and and musicals!

• What words of wisdom would you pass on to future Iglu residents?

  Get out there and meet people! Go to the events, introduce yourself, ask someone where they are from – maybe that person is your future best friend! Enjoy your time here at Iglu!!
