Hi Dev! What are you studying?
Bachelor of Aviation (Flight Training)

Why did you choose to study in Australia?
I had spent my whole life in one country -China- in an international school. I really loved the fact that I was able to learn about multiple cultures and regions which made diversity a huge part of my life. Melbourne being home to so many international students was the best place for me to study and live.

Why did you choose to live at Iglu?
I chose to stay at Iglu because of the events and the daily breakfast. The events and the daily breakfast make it so much easier to make friends. It’s like a big family having breakfast every day together 🙂

What is your favourite thing about being a student?
Being a university student is more than just studying and I love that about the university student life. At times it does get stressful as it does involve a lot of adulting, however, within a lot of kids who are attempting the adulting bit, we make so many friends and that is what I absolutely love about being a student. The connections you build as a uni student stay for a lifetime.

What is your favourite thing to do when you are not studying?
I enjoy spending time with my friends, and that usually involves playing sports, watching sports or just going out for a bite. Australia is home to some of the most beautiful sport stadiums so I always enjoy going to live AFL or Cricket matches.

So you’re a Resident Leader. What’s your favourite thing about being an RL?
I love the interactive bit. The connections and friends I have made as an RL will forever be close to me.

What is your favourite thing about Iglu?
My favorite thing about Iglu is the diversity. There are so many people from different places around the world and I love learning and hearing about their cultures. Everyone has a different background, a different field of study and that’s what interests me the most.
