Why did you choose to study in Australia?
I chose Australia because I wanted to experience living far away from my home country and I thought Australia was far enough.

Why did you choose to study in Melbourne?
I read Melbourne was the cultural capital of Australia, as well because it always appeared on the list of the most liveable cities in the world.

Why did you choose to live at Iglu?
The location was really convenient. It was a modern and new building. Heard a lot of good references from other students.

What is your favourite thing about being a student?
Getting constant new knowledge, increasing skills and networking.

What is your favourite thing to do when you are not studying?
Swimming, playing poker and listening to podcasts.

So you’re a Resident Leader. What’s your favourite thing about being an RL?
By being a Resident Leader it provides me the opportunity to be in constant contact with residents with backgrounds from all over the world, it gives me the opportunity to increase soft skills such as communication, leadership, team work and problem solving, all of this by having fun with other residents.

What is your favourite thing about Iglu?
The community, flexibility and the friendship environment.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I see myself as a Credit Risk Director in an important bank in Australia or in Mexico. I see myself having enough time to spend with my dog, keep swimming and running and keep exploring the world and it’s beautiful nature.

What words of wisdom would you pass on to future Iglu residents?
Welcome all experiences. You never know which one is going to turn everything on!
