Why did you choose to study in Australia?
It’s a beautiful country that I’ve always wanted to visit and the climate is very similar to Brazil’s. -
What made you decide to study in Sydney?
I chose Sydney because it is the biggest city and because there are many beautiful places here that I always wanted to visit. -
What is your favourite thing about being a student?
Being able to learn something new is always good and as I am still young, being fluent in another language will help me a lot in the college I intend to do in Brazil. -
What is your favourite thing to do when you are not studying?
Watching TV shows and listening to music. -
What is your favourite thing about Iglu?
The people are very kind and it is a very cozy place. -
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Attending college in Brazil. -

Don't hesitate to choose this place, it's a very cozy place and the people are amazing. I feel at home.

Why did you choose to live at Iglu?
Iglu Chatswood was in a really convenient location nearby to my university. The room options allowed for independent but still plenty of social opportunity. -
What do you like about living at Iglu?
I like that I feel supported whilst keeping my independence. I think it was a great step for me having never lived away from home before. -
How did the Iglu Regional Scholarship help you?
It was a major factor in deciding where to stay. Given I don't have family in Sydney, the airfares to see family, e.g. in Darwin, are considerable so any financial support was much appreciated :D -
What would you say to students considering living at Iglu?
The locations are convenient and are a good stepping stone for moving away from home.

Why did you choose to live at Iglu?
I chose to move into Iglu with a mate that I grew up with. It was very difficult for us to find an apartment together but Iglu seemed to offer everything we were searching for and more! We were attracted to the highly convenient location of Iglu Chatswood, cool design, available amenities such as the gym and the warm welcoming experience from the staff. -
What do you like about living at Iglu?
Iglu offers everything a university student could ask for! The location of the Chatswood building makes it a breeze for me to make it to my classes in about 20 minutes (door to door). The fun events which are held weekly has allowed me to make so many new friends and create awesome memories. The privacy and the comfort of my room is another amazing bonus. There are many other great things about Iglu such as the support available, the responsiveness/ friendliness of the staff and facilities available for booking. -
How did the Iglu Regional Scholarship help you?
The regional scholarship was a significant advantage given to me by Iglu. Moving to Sydney was a massive change for me since I grew up in a country town, so the scholarship greatly allowed me to adjust to the city life and definitely helped a lot with the challenge of self sustainment. -
What would you say to students considering living at Iglu?
Definitely move in!! You will love everything about Iglu from the building design and comfort all the way to the awesome community that live here! You are sure to create amazing new friendships and live in an extremely supportive and fun environment, it is literally a home away from home.
