Iglu ‘Share the Love’ Promotion Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to the Iglu Student Accommodation “Share the Love” Promotion (Promotion).

In this Promotion, unless context is otherwise provided, the following words are defined as follows:

AEST means the Australian Eastern Standard Time
Promotion Period has the meaning given to that expression at clause 2
Gift Card or Rental Credit means the value referred to in Table 1
Form means the Spread the Love form found at www.iglu.com.au/share-love
The Promoter is Iglu Pty Limited ABN 36 146 695 436, trading as Iglu Student Accommodation
Referral Friend means a person who is referred by an existing or new Iglu resident
Residential Tenancy Agreement means a residential agreement in respect of a room and, if applicable, any common facilities at the chosen Iglu property

Refer to Table 1 below for particulars of the Promotion, subject to the terms and conditions below.

You can take part in this promotion by either:
a. Asking your friend to enter your name and where you live in the ‘Friend Referral’ section when they apply online to live at Iglu
b. Providing details of your Referral Friend by filling in the Form available online at www.iglu.com.au/share-love
The Promotion is subject to room availability at the selected property.
By taking part in this Promotion, you warrant that you have:
a. Read and understood the terms and conditions of this Promotion;
b. Explained the Promotion to the Referral Friend; and
c. Obtained the consent of the Referral Friend prior to providing the Referral Friend’s details in the Form.
For you to be entitled to a Gift Card or Rental Credit under this Promotion, the following conditions must be met to the satisfaction of the Promoter:
a. You must complete and submit the Form to Iglu Student Accommodation prior to the Referral Friend applying to live at Iglu, OR the Referral Friend names you as their referrer when they apply online to live at Iglu;
b. The Referral Friend must:
– Return to the promoter a completed and signed Residential Tenancy Agreement and paid deposit for the selected contract term; and
– Have paid all associated fees and provided associated supporting documentation to the Promoter in connection with the Residential Tenancy Agreement.
c. The Referral Friend must not be a prior resident of Iglu Student Accommodation at any time prior to the date of the referral;
d. You must be a resident of Iglu Student Accommodation with a valid Residential Tenancy Agreement at the commencement of the referred friend’s Residential Tenancy Agreement;
e. All Forms must be completed and submitted in legible English;
f. You are not entitled to refer yourself as a Referral Friend under this Promotion.
There is no limit to the number of persons that you may refer under this Promotion.
Where a Referral Friend is referred by more than one resident under this Promotion, only the first resident making the referral (based on the time and date that the completed Form is submitted, determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion) will be entitled to qualify for a Gift Card or Rental Credit.
The Promoter will use reasonable endeavours to contact the Referral Friend within 7 business days from the date of receipt of the completed Form from you.
The Promoter will collect, use and store all of your details and all of the Referral Friend’s details for the purposes of:
a. Contacting your friend to discuss services provided at Iglu Student Accommodation by the Promoter;
b. Maintaining records of the Referral Friend you have referred and awards to be conferred as applicable to the Promotion;
c. Compiling and maintaining an internal “Opt Out” register of Referral Friends who indicate to The Promoter that they do not wish to hear about the services of the Promoter;
d. Please refer to Iglu Student Accommodation’s Privacy Policy which can be found online at https://iglu.com.au/privacy-policy/
The Promoter shall notify residents who qualify for a Gift Card or Rental Credit and gift cards or credits will be issued once the Referral Friend checks in at Iglu Student Accommodation. Residents that are not eligible or not entitled under this Promotion shall not be notified.
The entitlements pursuant to the Gift Card or Rental Credit are not transferable, refundable or redeemable for cash and cannot be used or redeemed in conjunction with any other offer or promotion offered by the Promoter.
The Promoter reserves the right at any time during the Promotion Period to:
a. Change the terms and conditions of this Promotion;
b. Withdraw the Promotion; and
c. Change the value and or nature of the Gift Card or Rental Credit
The Promoter will publish any updates and/or changes to the Promotion on: www.iglu.com.au/share-love.
All friends you refer under this Promotion must be people you actually know and the friend must have consented to the disclosure of personal details as set out in the Form. Spamming or solicitation of friends for the purposes of participating in this Promotion will not be tolerated and may result in both you and your friends being disqualified from the Promotion and the Promoter reserves its rights to take further disciplinary action against you and/or the friend. The Promoter further reserves the right to cancel an entitlement to a Gift Card or Rental Credit awarded to you by the Promoter, at its absolute discretion, at any time after the Promotion Period or the entitlement being awarded to you.
Fraudulent information, behaviour or other improper use of the Promotion or any entitlements granted under this Promotion (in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter) may result in (without limitation) the cancellation of your Gift Card or Rental Credit, or your suspension from Iglu Student Accommodation and/or termination of your Residential Tenancy Agreement.
This Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other Promotion promoted by the Promoter at any Iglu Student Accommodation property.
The Resident acknowledges and agrees that the Promoter shall not be liable to the Resident for:
a. Late, lost, misdirected, incomplete or incorrect entries; and
b. Any financial or legal implications (or otherwise) that may arise from the prize winnings. Independent financial, legal or other professional advice should be sought.
The Promoter reserves the right to take appropriate legal action against you and/or the Referral Friend(s) if you violate the terms and conditions of this Promotion.
To the extent permitted by law, under no circumstances will the Promoter be liable to you or the referral friend for any direct, indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with you and/or the Referred Friends’ participation in this Promotion, even if the Promoter has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
