Why did you choose to study in Australia?
I chose to study in Australia because its high quality education and diverse environment. As an international student, I wanted to meet people from around the world. It felt like a welcoming place for me to start my independence and grow as a person!!

Why did you choose to live in Sydney?
I chose to study in Sydney city because I love the balance between the vibrant city life and still having access to the beach. There are also many fusion food restaurants that I look forward to exploring. There also many well known firms, that i look forward to intern at to expand my knowledge at !!

Why did you choose to live at Iglu?
I chose to live at Iglu because the housing process was simple and straight forward, which made moving to a new country less stressful. As an international student far away from home, Iglu felt supportive which made me less homesick. I was super excited about events and opportunity to make new friends in a new country!

What is your favourite thing about being a student?
My favorite thing about being a study is the freedom to explore different opportunities and try new things! I enjoy learning new skills and joining different kinds of societies. It helps my experience and resume along the way. It’s a time where I can grow both personally and professionally while staying open minded to discover what I truly enjoy.

What is your favourite thing to do when you are not studying?
My favorite to do when I’m not studying is to go the beach on a sunny day and enjoy my own company or try out a new milk tea place. I like to rewind alone after a stressful week

What is your favourite thing about being a Resident Leader (RL)?
My favorite thing about being a Resident Leader is making new friends with other residents along the way. Even small conversations during shifts or events can turn into meaningful conversation! I enjoy listening to residents and their unique experiences.

What’s your go-to spot for studying or relaxing at Iglu?
My go to relaxing spot at Iglu is the Media room. At the end of a stressful day, watching a movie and talking with your friends is stress relieving. It becomes a device free zone where everyone bond over the movie together.

Describe your favourite thing about Iglu?
My favorite thing about Iglu is looking forward to special brekkie!! I look forward to trying the new breakfasts. Also on other days, we would have special pastries, which is very appreciated when I’m rushing to leave before class.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years, I see myself opening a school back in Cambodia. I look forward to travelling the world to see each countries different education system, and incorporating into my own school in Cambodia.

What words of wisdom would you pass on to future Iglu residents?
Step out of your comfort zone, and attend the events!! Go make friends and invite them to study together or even dinner together in the lounge!! You will feel happier with great companies !!!
