• What are you studying?

  Masters of Communication Design

• Why did you choose to study in Melbourne?

  Friends and family have always talked about how Melbourne is such a lively and creative city! More than just a quality educational experience, I wanted to be able to explore a vibrant metro!

• What is your favourite thing about being a student?

  The best thing about studying design is that your work is informed by your life and I love that my master’s experience at RMIT has been flexible enough for me to explore and enjoy all the city has to offer!

• What is your favourite thing to do when you are not studying?

  If I’m not working on a design project, I like to keep active and try new things! I’ve been taking different classes like pilates, yoga, indoor cycling, climbing, or going to live jazz concerts, comedy shows and best of all, trying out all the different cuisines Melbourne has to offer!

• Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

  Hopefully making a positive impact through design! I see myself working with and designing for small-medium ethical and sustainable brands, helping them not only develop their aesthetic vision but also design quality experiences.

• What is your favourite thing about Iglu?

  I love that Iglu South Yarra is in such a prime location, with trains, trams, shops and cafes being just a stone’s throw away, everything feels so accessible! Also of course, the very friendly staff and RL’s!

• Why did you decide to become a Resident Leader (RL)?

  One of my first flatmates was also an RL and told me all about it when I moved in! I loved that being an RL meant that I had the opportunity to make friends, plan fun events and build a warm community!

• What is your favourite thing about being a Resident Leader (RL)?

  I’ve learned a lot from the residents and being an RL, I love that I’m able to connect with so many different people from all around the world and create fun experiences for everyone through Iglu events!

• What words of wisdom would you pass on to future Iglu residents?

  Join all the events, don’t be shy! You never know, you could be meeting your next best friend or you could learn something new, whatever event it is, it’s gonna be a good time!
