Why did you choose to study in Australia?
One of the benefits of studying in Australia as an international student is the opportunity to apply for a post-study work visa after graduation. This visa allows international students to remain in Australia for up to three years after completing their studies to gain work experience and build their careers. -
Why did you choose to study in Sydney?
Sydney is vibrant economy, diverse job opportunities, and strong network of universities make it a prime location for graduates like me looking to kick-start their career. -
Why did you choose to live at Iglu?
Because Iglu offers safe and secure living options with high-quality accommodation in Australia. -
What is your favourite thing about being a student?
We don't have to worry about things that much when we're being a student. Moreover, while studying, we can also work part-time as well. -
What is your favourite thing to do when you are not studying?
Cooking, working out, visiting new cafes and restaurants. -
So you're a Resident Leader. What's your favourite thing about being an RL?
Being a resident leader helps me develop a range of valuable skills, including communication and problem-solving skills. We are responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive community for residents, while also addressing any issues or concerns that may arise. -
What is your favourite thing about Iglu?
Free breakfast and monthly events. -
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Working in a big company in Australia. -
What words of wisdom would you pass on to future Iglu residents?
Don't be afraid to take risks and step outside of your comfort zone.

What are you studying?
Film -
Why did you choose to study in Sydney?
Sydney is really the place to be for studying film because of industry opportunities... but honestly also just because its such a vibrant city, full of life and personality, and there's inspiration everywhere and a place where creativity seems to thrive! -
What is your favourite thing about being a student?
The flexibility of being able to have a life outside of school and work while also being intellectually stimulated everyday... but also for me, being able to study something I love, and being surrounded by people that are equally keen to make some movies! -
What is your favourite thing to do when you are not studying?
Right now, exploring Sydney, but watching movies is also always a close second -
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Hopefully working in film *fingers crossed* -
What is your favourite thing about Iglu?
That the staff is so friendly and accommodating and genuinely trying to make sure you have a great experience here. It makes it feel like a safe, welcoming place to come home to at the end of the day when you're far from home :) -
What words of wisdom would you pass on to future Iglu residents?
I'm not really in any place to be giving anyone any advice, but something I've been learning over and over recently is that nothing, good or bad, lasts forever, so make the most of what you can and don't lose hope for the future!
