Introducing Iglu Redfern!
So cool! Students in Sydney have a hot new place to live. It’s in one of Sydney’s trendiest suburbs and a short hop to key university campuses. It’s cool. It’s new. It’s Iglu Redfern.
Taking pride of place at the corner of Regent and Redfern Streets, the stunning new 370 bed architectural master work welcomed its first residents on Thursday 1 February and, like all Iglu properties, it embodies an ethos of cool design, warm hospitality and prime location.
The cool design speaks for itself. It’s a case of ‘old meets new’ with the old, terracotta shopfronts – quintessential to Sydney – not only being reinvigorated and incorporated into the design but drawing warmth and character into the internal space.
Now let’s talk warm hospitality. It’s not just warm, it’s hot. Led by Maricris Bautista, previously much-acclaimed as General Manager at Iglu Chatswood and Iglu Central, ‘Emcee” has handpicked a team of hospitality professionals to ensure Iglu Redfern residents feel right at home every time they walk through the door.
As for prime location, it’s right up there. It’s literally around the corner from Redfern Train Station – one of Sydney’s busiest hubs – and an easy walk to three key universities – Sydney University, UTS and Notre Dame. The CBD is a mere 5-minute commute. This plus the fact that, as a suburb, Redfern has with new hot spots popping up every week, including the soon-to-arrive cobblestone laneway of artisan restaurants and bakery-cafe at the base of the Iglu Redfern. It’s no wonder Redfern’s a regular fixture on hip ‘where to go’ guides for Sydney locals.
Combine all these elements and Iglu Redfern truly is the next place to be.
